Rose Course 3: Roses as landscape plants

In the past, roses were used to a much greater extent than today as landscapes plants. Hedges, large shrubbery, paths covered with climbing roses and entrances with rose arches formed fragrant rooms in many large gardens in both Sweden and Europe. An example of this can be seen at Sofiero, where Crown Princess Margareta, who came to Sweden in 1905, created rooms with roses in classic English fashion. In this course, you will learn how to create a room yourself, a beautiful entrance hall or an arbour with roses. Here will be presented shrubs and climbing roses for your villa garden, or for a larger space consists in a video where Christina Högardh-Ihr gives an inspiring lecture. The length of the video is 21 minutes. It also includes a summary of the contents of a PDF that you can download and save.
